 Provide Meal After a kitchen fire, HFRA provided a meal to the family
 
         
2/23/04 Fund Funeral A visiting family lost a child to SIDS.  The family had no resources or knowledge to handle the death of their child.  HFRA helped organize and fund the family's funeral expenses.
 
         
12/18/04 Car Repairs Finance a portion of car repairs for a citizen in need.  Hillsboro Towing sponsored the tow.  
         
01/18/05 Assisted with Fire Safety A 2 story "transitional" house for women and their children was in need of fire extinguishers and an escape ladder.  HFRA purchased the equipment.
 
         
5/31/05 Bike Repairs A bicyclist was hit by a car.  The bicycle was the only means of transportation.  HFRA helped fund the repair with the assistance of the Bike-N-Hike  
         
6/07/05 Plumbing Repair Arranged for the financial assistance with plumbing repairs for a widow.

7/12/05 Purchased Paint Purchased painting supplies to paint the house of  MVA victims.  
         
12/29/05 Purchased Clothing/Items Purchased household/clothing items for a family following a house fire.
 
         
2/17/06 Purchased Baby Items Purchased baby items for a family who lost baby supplies including a car seat.
 
         
4/20/06 Purchased Bike Helmets Sponsor purchased of bike helmets used in the Washington Co. Sheriffs Foundation give-away program.
 
         
7/29/06 Chimney Repairs Purchased materials to repair a chimney of an elderly woman to eradicate a bird problem.  Hillsboro Firefighter volunteers performed the work.
 
         
9/12/06 Summer Camp Sponsor Sponsored tuition for summer camp for a child whom suffered severe losses in family.  The sponsorship was in conjunction with HP&R  
         
1/24/07 Assist Chaplains Purchase Flip-Flops for Wash. Co. chaplains to give to emergency victims
 
         
1/29/07 Removed a Tree Assisted in removing a large tree that had fallen in the yard of an elderly woman.  United Rentals helped with the chainsaw chain service.
         
7/10/07 Helped Someone Home Provided food and bus transportation from Hillsboro to Eureka, Ca. for a stranded person    
         
09/07 Built a Disability Ramp Build a ramp for a senior citizen leading from her back door into the back yard  
         
09/07 Replaced a Broken Lock Replace Lockset for elderly woman which was broken on an emergency call    
         
10/07 Medical Leave Donation Assisted a HPD officer that was off on medical leave due to serious medical condition    
         
11/07 Received/Redistributed Goods Recieved and redistributed handmade blankets made by West Union Grade School's 6th Grade    
         
12/07 Toy And Joy Coordinated the 2007 Hillsboro Firefighter's Toy and Joy which presents toys to children who are less fortunate    
         
04/08 Provided Lodging Put up a family in a hotel who had extreme flooding in their house.    
         
12/08 Financial Assistance to Family Provided financial assistance to a family who lost the life of their son in a vehicle accident.    
         
12/08 Toy And Joy Coordinated the 2007 Hillsboro Firefighter's Toy and Joy which presents toys to children who are less fortunate.    
         
12/08 Christmas Support Joined an Intel work group that provided toys and food for less fortunate families on Christmas.    
         
02/09 Provided Lodging Provided lodging for a homeless man that needed a place to stay due to health reasons.    
         
03/11 Purchase Smoke Detector Purchase a special needs smoke detector for a family    
         
04/09 Provide Wheelchair Provided a wheel chair for a woman who lost her chair and prosthetic in a fire   Pictures
         
05/09 Replacement Stove Provided financial assistance for a stove that was destroyed by a fire
